Dr. Jennifer Schmidt, a researcher with the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP), will discuss the state of renewable energy in Alaska, and present a selection of renewable energy projects across the state. This presentation is part of ACEP’s microFEWs project, which is studying the links between food, energy and water (FEW) securities in Cordova, Tanana, Igiugig and Kongiganak. By better understanding what impacts these securities, ACEP can find ways to improve them and therefore the lives of people throughout Alaska. Dr. Schmidt will also facilitate a discussion about renewable energy wants and needs in Cordova, to bring your ideas about renewable energy back to ACEP engineers who will use them to develop new technology.
Food and snacks will be provided!
Dr Schmidt will also be presenting at the Tuesday Night Talks that same evening.
